Creating an Asset Kit

An Asset Kit in a Rental Business is a pre-packaged collection of Assets designed to meet specific needs. Examples include:

  • Furniture: A bedroom set (Bed, Mattress, Cupboards, and a Study table with chair)
  • Equipment: An Office Starter pack (10 sets of computers with chairs and tables)

Creating an Asset Kit

To create an Asset Kit:

  1. Go to the Asset menu and hover on the (…) button in the top right corner.
  2. Select ‘Create Asset Kit’ from the dropdown.
  3. Alternatively, click on the ‘Create Kit Asset’ button in the quick action column on the dashboard.

Asset Kit Details

When creating an asset kit, provide the following information:

  • Name: Enter the Asset kit name.

  • Asset Identification: Assign a unique tag to identify the Asset Kit (can be numbers, letters, or a combination).

  • Asset Category: Select from existing categories or create a new one.

    • To add a new category, click the ‘Add New Category’ button below the dropdown.
  • Asset Sub-category: Choose from existing sub-categories or add a new one.

    • To add a new sub-category, click the ‘Add New Sub Category’ button below the dropdown.
  • Description: Provide a detailed description of the Asset Kit.

  • Location: Select from the list of existing locations.

  • Publish to Webstore: Check this box to make the asset kit visible in the webstore.

Adding Items to the Bundle

In this section, you can add existing assets to create your kit or bundle:

  1. Click on the field to search through all previously added assets.
  2. There is no limit to the number of assets you can add to a kit.
  3. Once added, you’ll see all the assets in the kit/bundle in the table below.
  4. To adjust the quantity of an asset in the kit:
    • Use the quantity box next to each asset.
  5. To remove an asset from the kit:
    • Click the trash can icon in the action column next to the asset.

Saving the Asset Kit

To complete the asset kit creation process:

  1. Review all entered information for accuracy.
  2. Scroll to the top of the page.
  3. Click the ‘Save’ button to create the asset kit and store the entered details.
